There are few things more frustrating than paying for a good connection and noticing that the internet is slow just when you need it most.
Sound familiar: you're working, loading a website, streaming something... and suddenly everything freezes. You restart the router. It seems to improve... but after a while it goes slow again.
This is not a coincidence. And it's not "normal" either.
The first mistake: thinking it's the provider's fault
Many people assume that if the internet is slow, the problem is with the operator. Sometimes it is, but in most cases we see in Barcelona... it has nothing to do with the provider.
In fact, there are homes with 600 Mb or even 1 Gb fiber that perform worse than much slower connections.
If this is happening to you, it's already a clear sign that something internal isn't well optimized.
Congested WiFi (even if it doesn't seem like it)
Nowadays you have phones, laptops, smart TVs, tablets, cameras, Alexa, and other devices connected at the same time. All of that competes for WiFi.
The problem is that the router your provider installs is designed to get by, not to manage multiple devices well.
This is where micro-outages, slowness, and the "back and forth" begin.
In many cases, what you really need isn't to restart anything, but a complete reconfiguration or a specific coverage solution, like those we apply in our home WiFi improvement service.
The big forgotten one: the cable (and how it affects WiFi)
Almost no one takes this into account.
Even if you use WiFi, the foundation of the entire network is still wired. If there's a problem there, WiFi will never work well.
Real examples: old or poorly crimped cables, improvised installations, saturated switches, or poorly distributed connections.
This causes invisible speed losses that you then blame on WiFi.
In these cases, many times you have to intervene directly in the internal network, as we do in the wired network management service.
"I have good speed... but it's slow"
This is the most deceptive case.
You run a speed test and it comes out fine. But then you browse... and everything is slow.
This usually indicates poor latency, interference, poor signal distribution, or internal congestion.
In other words: the problem isn't speed, it's how that speed reaches your devices.
And that's where many installations fail.
Repeaters, PLCs, and quick fixes (that sometimes make everything worse)
There's a lot of misinformation here.
PLCs on power strips, poorly placed repeaters, or "better" routers without proper configuration can make the problem worse instead of solving it.
It's not so much what you buy, but how the entire system is designed.
So... what exactly is failing?
The reality is that every home is different.
It could be coverage, congestion, interference, cabling, router, configuration... or a combination of several things.
And here's the problem: without a diagnosis, you're trying solutions blindly.
